From infancy and through the entire span of his short life, his drive to make meaningful art and treat everyone with compassion and with fairness made a tremendous impact.

DEADLINE: APRIL 25, 2026
  • TWO Scholarships will be awarded.

  • Each recipient grant: $1000

The Reid Gorecki Memorial Scholarship at CSArts

was lovingly established by Alicia Gorecki to honor the memory and artistic spirit of her son. Reid was passionate about two things, youth mental health and all things art. In his artist statement he said, “If someone is able to connect with something I have made, or if the work speaks to even one person, I am satisfied. I know art helps me to feel connected, not alone, and that is important for everyone.”

Two scholarships will be awarded to students at CSArts-SGV each spring in Reid's memory. Each recipient will receive an unrestricted $1000.00 scholarship grant.
